IGL |
IGL was one of two label names used by the Iowa Great Lakes Recording Co. in Milford IA which opened on June 1, 1965. Folks who value garage rock from the 60s and 70s look to this label as releasing some of the better examples of this type of music. The studios most notable release was 'Peter Rabbit' (IGL 103) by Dee Jay and the Runaways which charted nationally after receiving initial success on IGL. This attracted the interest of Mercury, Atco, Dunhill and other labels who were interested in the single. On the advice of a local DJ, Jim Michaels, IGL went with Mercury Records. |

Inpop |
Inpop Records is an independent contemporary Christian music record label based in Franklin, Tennessee, U.S. It was launched in July 1999 by Australians Peter Furler, Dale Bray, and Wes Campbell. The name was derived from the idea of wanting to highlight the talents of international pop artists, though they have signed an equal number of American artists. Inpop's stated goal is to discover the best artists around the world that understand the grace of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and who also have something new and unique to offer the world of Christian music. |
