John Mehler was a drummer in the Long Beach California music scene during the late sixties. He was invited by Calvary Chapel founder Pastor Chuck Smith to bring his drums to church, something that had never happened before. But that started a journey that would make Jay a creative force in the young Jesus music movement.
John went on to become the drummer for the pioneering Christian rock group Love Song, Spirit of Creation, Noah, and other bands. He was also an in-demand session drummer, playing on for Frank Sinatra, Merv Griffin, Michael Omartian, Randy Stonehill, and more. John released two solo projects in the eighties and has performed before world leaders and worked for Maranatha! Music.
