Gospel singer, writer, teacher, editor, and publisher, Eugene Bartlett taught singing schools throughout the southern United States, founded the Hartford Music Company in Hartford, Arkansas, and was editor of the music magazine Herald of Song. He was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 1979.
