Keith & Kristyn Getty return to Grand Ole Opry

NASHVILLE, Tenn.— Internationally renowned Irish modern hymn writers and recording artists Keith & Kristyn Getty will make their third Grand Ole Opry appearance Tuesday, December 11, this time on the revered institution’s original stage at the historic Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville.

During the “Opry at the Ryman” appearance, the couple will perform selections from their critically-acclaimed recordings Joy – An Irish Christmas and Hymns for the Christian Life. The evening’s Opry line-up is also slated to feature award-winning Mercury Nashville recording artist Easton Corbin as well as legendary country group Diamond Rio, along with others to be announced.

Among the preeminent modern hymn composers of this generation, Keith & Kristyn Getty are writers of an acclaimed repertoire of 21st century hymns lauded both for their theologically astute lyrics and universally beloved melodies. Best known for the now-classic modern hymn “In Christ Alone” (penned by Keith Getty & Stuart Townend), Keith & Kristyn Getty’s popular U.S. recordings include In Christ Alone; Awaken The Dawn; Joy – An Irish Christmas; and this year's Hymns for the Christian Life, which features contributions from bluegrass icon Ricky Skaggs, 27-time GRAMMY® Award-winner Alison Krauss, and Clannad's Moya Brennan, among others.

Launching November 29 in Louisville, Kentucky, the couple's highly-anticipated annual “Joy – An Irish Christmas” Tour will visit concert halls and churches in 18 stateside cities this holiday season. Presented in partnership with Compassion International and Redeemer Seminary, the tour will culminate for the second consecutive year at Nashville’s prestigious Schermerhorn Symphony Center December 23.
