Crowder sets sights on "Neon Steeple" for solo debut

Nashville, Tenn. – What was originally an idea formed from a stunning image of a steeple on the horizon comes the long-awaited solo debut from critically revered artist and songwriter Crowder. The release of Neon Steeple, out May 27, 2014, continues to highlight Crowder’s knack for innovative songwriting. Among the new tracks is the record’s lead Top 5 single (National Christian Audience) “I Am” as well as a duet with music icon Emmylou Harris on “My Sweet Lord.”

Neon Steeple comes over two years since David Crowder*Band’s final project, Give Us Rest (A Requiem Mass in C [The Happiest of All Keys]). His current single “I Am” peaked at No. 1 on the iTunes® Christian & Gospel Top Songs chart upon its release. The song has enjoyed a steady climb up the charts, currently sitting at No. 5 on the National Christian Audience chart, reaching over 6.6 million people weekly.
