Ben Cantelon, writer of "Savior of the World," to release new album "Everything In Color" May 8th

Worship leader Ben Cantelon is calling on believers to open their eyes and see the world differently. Throughout his second full-length album, Everything In Color, Cantelon unpacks the paints and unleashes the creativity, offering eleven songs designed to leave listeners in awe of God’s beauty, grace and love.

Releasing globally through Kingsway on May 8th, Everything In Color is Cantelon’s second full-length album, following the 2009 release of Running After You. While the former spoke of determination and perseverance, Everything In Color pauses the journey, offering time to stop, reflect and soak in the view.

Everything In Color is an album designed to bring worshipers back to the here and now, to re-examine the present in the light of God’s eternal goodness and love. And as metaphors go, the idea of living life in full color offers the Canadian-born and London-based songwriter plenty of material.

No more black and white because I’ve seen the light…
My life is colored by your love
Full of patience full of kindness enough
The sorrows of my yesterday
Are forgotten with joyful sounds of praise

“I think these are exciting times for sung worship,” says Cantelon. “When life is tough, it is tempting to reduce things to black and white… but worship has a role to play in introducing the color. Worship reminds us that God is far bigger than any of us, far brighter than any of our gloom and far more real than any of our denial.”

Everything In Color, which features co-writes with Tim Hughes and Matt Redman, includes a return of two of Cantelon’s best-loved songs, “Love Came Down” and “Savior Of The World.” Both are given a fresh treatment, fitting in perfectly with the album’s overarching theme of exploration and revelation. And for churches adopting the song “Savior of the World,” a new lyrics video appropriate for use in worship services is available at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfA4cxmOgTU. Other standout songs from Everything In Color include the title track, “Through The Cross,” “My Guardian” and the album’s first radio single, “New Day.”

In coordination with the album, Cantelon created a series of short devotional articles based around the theme “Everything In Color.” Covering topics that range from the need for a God-directed perspective to the current state of the worship movement, the articles are well-rooted in both scripture and "real life” and ideal for both worship leaders and worshipers, alike. The articles are being released weekly across social media platforms for use as part of personal devotions or small group studies. The first article, “Not Everyone Sees In Color,” is available now at http://kingswayworship.com.

As one of the leaders of the London-based Worship Central training school, Cantelon has been involved in equipping worship leaders and music teams throughout the U.K and around the world. And in addition to his own recordings, he has appeared on and contributed to other albums including Worship Central’s latest release, Spirit Break Out. Music and ministry have always been part of life for the multi-instrumentalist who is the son and grandson of pastors.
