Solomon’s Wish was a formed by Scott Roberts, Mike Hurst, and Kevin Tobias, three men who met by chance at a youth group event. Mike was booked as a special singer, and Scott & Kevin jumped on stage during sound check. The three had very different musical styles, but ended up being able to write songs together, and the band was born.
Shortly after their chance meeting, Solomon’s Wish signed a contract with Pamplin Music on stage at the Nashville Arena during the nineteen ninety nine Dove Awards pre-telecast event. Their album A Wise Man’s Tragedy was released the next year, but when the label folded, so did the band.
