Besides his work as Executive Director and Board Chairman of AIA, Joel Chernoff is the current General Secretary of the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America (MJAA), which is the leading voice institution representing the Messianic Jewish community worldwide. He is also the visionary/founder and Board Chairman of The Joseph Project (TJP), which is responsible for providing over $100 million worth of humanitarian aid to Israel. Mr. Chernoff also serves as the senior vice president of the International Messianic Jewish Alliance (IMJA), which embraces national Alliances in 20 countries. In the 1970s, as the lead singer/songwriter for the Messianic and religious pop music group Lamb, he is largely credited with creating, pioneering, and popularizing this new genre of what is now known as Messianic music. Lamb recorded and released 10 albums selling over 600,000 copies and was often in the top three selling recording artists on the pop religious charts throughout the 1970s.
