Dave de Coup-Crank of Redmond, WA was born on November 25, 1955 in Stuttgart, Germany to Jack and Shirley Garner de Coup-Crank. Dave was raised in La Puente, California and graduated from Bassett High School in La Puente, CA and from Mount San Antonio College in Walnut, CA with an Associates of Arts degree. He married Jeannie Shearin on July 1, 1984 in Glendale, CA. He died January 11, 2008 at age 52 in Redmond, Washington.
Dave was active, adventurous, creative and fun loving. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout and was an active member of the Order of the Arrow specializing in Native American dancing. In the 1980's he was an accomplished magician and was invited to perform at the Hollywood Magic Castle. Dave also composed and played Christian folk music in the 1970-80’s and continued to compose contemporary Christian music in his free time. Dave was employed by Don Post Studio California and later for Microsoft, after he moved to Redmond, WA in 1991. Dave also enjoyed art collecting and antiquing. His family and friends will remember him as a compassionate man whose love and devotion for his boys was undeniable.
