I first learned about Angelo & Veronica back in 1992 when they released Higher Place on Benson records. Since that time, they have released more than a dozen albums, both as a duo and a few solo projects for Veronica. Veronica has also written a book called How I Made it Out Alive, documenting her journey through and victory over depression. In addition, in 2015, they started a Higher Place Church where they minister each week.

The story of Angelo and Veronica is like a scene out of West Side Story. A beautiful Puerto Rican girl and handsome Italian boy meet and fall in love. Against all odds their love has persevered for almost eighteen years and they still continue to bring music that is deeply personal and universally relevant. These two highly skilled vocalists both studied at Berklee College of Music and met in the city of Boston. Their debut solo album in 1992, Higher Place caught the attention of both Gospel music mogul Bobby Jones and legendary hit pop songwriter Diane Warren to create the incomparable sound that is Angelo and Veronica. They went on to record 6 albums with Benson Music Group, Verity Records and Harmony Records, a division of Sony, Inc. Still widely recognized by their performance on legendary Gospel artist, John P. Kee's Show Up video of their song "God Knows" which also made it to the top 20 on the Contemporary Christian Music charts. They are recipients of three Dove awards including Contemporary Black Gospel song of the year and Urban Album of the year. Angelo and Veronica have made numerous television appearances on Fox 17, TBN, Word Network and BET. In 2009, they were asked to sing at an Inaugural Concert at the prestigious Constitution Hall in Washington, DC. Also in 2009, they released their long awaited new CD entitled Still in Love.
Veronica also released her very first solo Spanish language album Atrévete a Soñar which features the song she wrote called “Dare to Dream” which was selected for the 2006 Special Olympics. She sings and speaks at various Women’s Conferences across the country and recently was a guest soloist for Michael W. Smith’s “Music City Unites for Haiti” for which she also performed at the 2010 Dove Awards. In 2011, she partnered with Lataillade Entertainment and Central South Distribution along with her record label, Latin Soul Entertainment to release her first official solo CD entitled Made It Out Alive slated for 2012.
