Jody Moreing Frankfurt was a singer and songwriter from Woodland Hills California. She was born and raised in the San Francisco bay area and earned a music composition degree from Mills College. After graduation she toured with various acts, even opening for the Doors. She wrote numerous pop songs and was signed to a record deal with Boardwalk Records. After Boardwalk closed its doors, Jody refocused on her writing, including the multi-platinum tune " Danny (Nobody Wins)," recorded by 80's-pop phenom "Tiffany".
In 1987, Jody surrendered her life to God, and "God being infinitely rich in mercy and because of His great love," saved her from the penalty of sin. On June 21, 1988 Jody married Scott Frankfurt. Together they were signed to Frontline Records and recorded as the Christian group, Street Called Straight releasing four critically acclaimed albums, including a string of radio friendly hits, most notably "World Without End" which held a top-ten slot in the CCM airplay charts. Through their own Bleach Bros. Music and Hymmersion labels, Jody and Scott have produced almost a dozen full-length albums
Jody was an active member of Grace Community Church, providing food to the homeless, discipling other women in the Word of God, and her greatest joy - encouraging others with her original worship music. Above all else, Jody desired that her music and her life be an offering of praise to Jesus Christ, who saved her.
