Steve Camp prepping new album
A staple of Christian radio in the 1980s, Steve Camp has let it be known that he is working on a new album with producer Tim Miner. "Nashville bound working on the new album!" he posted on Facebook April 5th. "My favorite hairstylist Miss Amy sent me off to Nashville with a new haircut today. Going to be working on some new music for my new album with my producer extraordinary Tim Miner. Thank you all for your prayers!"
Camp's last album, The Definitive Collection, was released in 2007. His first Christian album was 1978's Sayin' It with Love. He released an earlier album, in 1975, with Mums/CBS.
As a young Christian, he created a close bond with singer/songwriter Larry Norman, who gave him advice concerning his own singing and songwriting. In addition, he met the late Keith Green who encouraged him to make a stronger commitment to Jesus and at the same time his own ministry. Camp is now the senior pastor of The Cross Church in Palm City, Florida.
