Karen Voegtlin
Karen Voegtlin is a singer from Iowa. A graduate of Iowa State University, Karen was writing songs and performing in her local area when she became the keyboard player and background vocalist for Andrus Blackwood and Company. Several of the songs she wrote appeared on Andrus and Blackwood’s albums as well as projects by other artists. In 1979, Karen released her debut solo album, and was soon signed to Greentree Records. With Sherman Andrus as producer, she released Love Explosion in 1981 and He’s My Leader, which was released on Light Records in 1984. Karen and her husband Rex are currently financial advisors in Clive, Iowa.
