Bill Gaither Trio

Music legend Bill Gaither is responsible for a number of groups and the Gaither Homecoming series of concerts. But before he became a household name he started a trio with his siblings Danny and Mary Ann in 1956. Later, his wife Gloria would take his sister’s spot, and Gary McSpadden would replace brother Danny.
Sometimes simply referred to as the Gaither trio, the group would earn two Grammy’s and ten Songwriter of the Year awards. The trio would perform together as a featured performers as well as supporting the Billy Graham Crusades. The success of the trio was due in no small part to the writing prowess of Bill and Gloria who crafted inspirational ballads that often landed in church hymn books
