Reality Check was an Alternative Rock trio that formed in the mid 1990's. The group's main focus was hip-hop, with their independent album, Soulfood, featuring beats from mainstream rap artists. The group found support from Michael Tait of dc Talk. and were soon signed to StarSong Records.
The first single from their self-titled, debut album moved toward a more pop/rock sound and led to plenty of buzz and good sales. But almost as soon as the band had started they disbanded. The breakup wasn't really explained, but two of the members, Nathan Barlowe and Jonny MacIntosh, moved on to start the band Luna Halo.
