Clear was a pop / alternative rock group formed in Minneapolis in 1995 as a trio of Bethel College students, Matt Berry on vocals and guitar, Nat Larson on guitars, and Alison Ogren on vocals and piano. The trio signed up to compete in a new artist competition. Berry's college roommate, drummer Pete Sanders, and classmate David Caton, on bass, joined prior to the competition which was judged in part by Ardent Record's A&R Director Dana Key and its president Pat Scholes. The group was signed to Ardent Records shortly thereafter and released two albums before disbanding in 2001. There second album, Follow the Narrow, hit #33 on the Billboard Top Contemporary Christian Albums chart in 2000.
