Patricia Elaine "Tricia" Baumhardt (née, Brock in Cincinnati, Ohio) is an American contemporary Christian singer-songwriter raised in Dillsboro, Indiana. In 2011, Brock released the album entitled The Road, her first full-length studio album.

Tricia Brock never set aside plans to record a worship project, yet it was almost inevitable that it be done. As the front woman for the GRAMMY-nominated band Superchick, Tricia found herself in a spiritual desert while in between new album recordings. Knowing she has always felt the call to lead worship, now was the time she used her voice to paint a visual picture of the kind of worship and love that she was called to by God.

Raised in a Christian home, Tricia and her sister Melissa experienced their share of adversity and struggles while trying to nourish the testament of their faith throughout their teenage years. After meeting Max Hsu (Superchick, Church Of Rhythm) at a concert in 1997, the three shared their desires to work with and inspire young girls struggling with the same feelings of depression and insecurities that they shared. This dream was brought into fruition and Superchick was formed. Six albums, twelve years and a GRAMMY nomination later, Tricia Brock – an ordinary person made well-known by her faithful use of a God-given gift for music – has become a role model to hundreds of thousands of teenagers.

It is only natural that Tricia’s debut worship album, The Road (Inpop Records), would travel down a contrasting – yet recognizable – path. Produced by her husband Nick Baumhardt (Stellar Kart, FM Static, Thousand Foot Krutch) in his home studio in Nashville, The Road is a refreshing new take on what we’ve grown to expect when we listen to the voice of Tricia Brock. This project is a collection of songs meant to breathe hope and to inspire new life into a battling heart. “We may be broken, but we’re never destroyed,” the album’s lyrics proclaim. Tricia wants to share that at times the listener may feel without hope, but there’s no need to fear. Hope, refuge and strength are always with us when we are with God.

The Road features new versions of the popular songs “Always” and “Jesus I Am Resting, Resting,” in addition to new songs of worship penned from moments deep within Tricia’s personal journal. The Road is an open window into the intimacy of her heart. Album standout “Breath Of God” takes a brush and creates an astonishing and beautiful image of how just one breath from God can give us life. “Lean” peers inside of Tricia’s soul to a time where writing songs of worship was so hard, feeling like God had completely disappeared. The song “Impossible” showcases the life and power in the name of God, sending a cry of victory in knowing that with Him nothing is impossible. The project’s first single is the stunning “You Are My Shepherd,” currently at radio.

As a voice for a number of charities and non-profit organizations, including Compassion International, Habitat For Humanity, and Make A Wish Foundation, Tricia has always had a heart for giving back. One of her daily readings includes James 2:15-16 which states, “If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one you say to them ‘Go in peace, be warmed and be filled’ and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?”

“This world isn’t about me,” Tricia explains. “If I have one purpose to fulfill during my time on this earth, it’s to bring someone closer to God through the love and compassion that He’s given me… however, that may be. How can you stand in front of a crowd and preach the news of the Lord’s boundless love without doing everything in your power to model your life after His?”

If Tricia Brock is traveling the world with Superchick in sold-out arenas or leading worship as a solo artist for an intimate Sunday morning service, she sings songs that resonate with anyone who is longing with a passion for justice, and authenticity of faith or a restructuring of a heart’s foundation.

“Whether the message shared in The Road brings you tears of joy or pain, you are welcome here, and through the words that God has shared with me, my hope is that none of you will walk away unchanged,” Tricia adds.
